We have an excellent faculty coming together for this program. We are proud to announce the return of Bruce Stern, Stark & Stark (NJ), to the APTLA programming. Bruce Stern is the author of numerous articles and a frequent lecturer on the subject of traumatic brain injury litigation, evidence and trial techniques. Mr. Stern is listed in Woodward/White's The Best Lawyers in America from 2003-2015 and the 2005- 2014 editions of New Jersey Super Lawyers by New Jersey Monthly Magazine. He was been selected as a 2013 Top Rated Lawyer in Personal Injury by ALM and Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Stern is certified as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney by both the New Jersey Supreme Court and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Bruce will make two special poresentaitons: "Hidden Damages: The Real Cost of Disability" and "Marketing Your Settlement Offer: The Business Case for Visual Presentations at Mediations".

We welcome Richard Halpern, Thomson Rogers (ON), to our faculty. Richard is immediate past President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association and the current chair of the Ontario Bar Association Working Group on Auto Insurance Reform. Richard’s practice is exclusively plaitiff-based civil litigation with particular emphasis on medical malpractice cases and auto accident cases on behalf of the injured party. He is listed in the Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory 2014 as a leading practitioner in the field of medical negligence and was also selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Canada® 2014 in the field of Personal Injury Litigation. Richard joins us to present "Getting Bang for Your Buck: Counsel's Role in Preparing the Expert Report".

OTHER IMPORTANT CONFERENCE INFORMATION:


HOTEL ARRANGEMENTS APTLA has established a preferred room rate of $149 for Delta Rooms and Premier Rooms and $189 for Signature Rooms at the Delta Halifax for those attending the conference. This rate is subject to availability and you must advise the reservations department that you are attending the APTLA Conference when you are making your reservation. You can reserve a room by using the Conference Reservation Link or by calling 1-888-351-7666. Please make your booking as soon as possible and before Tuesday, November 4th, 2014. After that date, the Delta will release our Room Block and rooms will be subject to availability and regular pricing. The reservation link will continue to work up to the date of the conference.

CANCELLATIONS & CUT OFFS - Conference registration cancellations must be received in the APTLA office no later than Friday, November 7th, 2014. We will issue a refund for the registration fee paid less a $50.00 processing fee. APTLA cannot accept cancellations after November 7th, 2014 and refunds will not be issued after that date. Substitution of another attendee from the same category of registration is always permitted, although we would appreciate notice of such substitutions. Hotel reservations must be made on or before end of day on Tuesday, November 4th, 2014. After that date, the Delta will release our Room Block and rooms will be subject to availability and regular pricing. The reservation link will continue to work up to the date of the conference.
