APTLA is delighted to welcome Carma Henson, Henson Fuerst (NC) to our program. Carma is a Fellow of the Pound Civil Justice Institute; a Member of the American Association for Justice; the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, being the VP of the Nursing Home Litigation Section and a Member of the Auto Torts Section. Carma is a frequent presenter at AAJ programs on both advocacy and nursing home litigation. She has published regularly over the last 10 years and recently on various topics on Depositions/Discoveries, and acted as both a presenter and workshop leader for the intensive AAJ Trial Advocacy and Depositions Colleges.

We also welcome Judith Hull of MacKenzie Lake and Jim Vigmond of Oatley Vigmond - both Past Presidents of OTLA, both Fellows of the Litigation Counsel of America, and both frequent presenters on trial advocacy and civil trial practice. Jim Vigmond will deliver our luncheon address: "Fighting the Good Fight - The Privilege Representing Plaintiffs".

CONFERENCE SOCIAL EVENTS

Through the generosity of APTLA’s Current, Past, and Incoming President, we will be having a BBQ and Presidents’ Reception at the Kingsbrae Gardens on Friday, June 10th for our conference attendees. Kingsbrae Garden is an award-winning, 27-acre horticultural masterpiece a very short walk from the Algonquin. The Presidents’ Reception is truly the highlight of our conference and year, and a wonderful opportunity to bring our membership together in such a beautiful setting.
